For our PBL, our driving question is how can innovation improve our lives? So there was a challenge it was to invent a boat that could float on water with marbles on it. To win you had to have the most marbles in the boat. We had to do in a group of 4. In my group I had Holly, Santara, Molly and I. But the hard thing was you have to use only straws, plastic cups, paper, and tinfoil.
Next step we had to use these items and create a boat. Well our boat was really well thought out but some of the groups were really good of standing up. Our score was 33 marbles in our boat, but the paper we use under the boat was really soggy and wet as well. This is our finally results of the boat!!
What are you learning about at school this term??
I am a student at St Francis of Assisi Catholic School. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your post! Our inquiry is focused on innovation! A few years ago we created boats and floated them down the stream at the back of our school.
Next time I would recommend putting something solid and water proof at the bottom of your boat like flat tinfoil or flat parts of the plastic cups (anything else would make the boat sink)so it doesn't fall apart/make the boat sink.
Otherwise well done, I really enjoyed reading!
